Some Time In Puerto Vallarta – Day 1.5

Embajador Ready For Action

We are back in Puerto Vallarta (PV) after about 10 days at home in San Diego. My fraternity bro, Tony Nethercutt, flew down with me yesterday. We departed from the CBX crossing which leads directly into the Tijuana airport. Very fast and easy. One of the nice features of flying out of TIJ is that once across the bridge, you are in Mexico, meaning that there is no more customs to go through at your next (Mex) destination.

The plan is to visit each of the 3 marinas here and explore the surrounding areas, starting at our slip in Riviera Nayarit .

Some Crazy, But Talented Canadians Play w/ The Band (ck out the guy playing the spoons in the foreground too)

We had dinner last eve in the small town of La Cruz at Anna Banana’s a small restaurant/bar one street off of the marina. Good food and some excellent music from a local band.

Afterwards, Tony and I teamed up against Alex for a game of pool at an upstairs dive bar down the street. He beat both of us even though we got two shots for every one of his…

This AM we took a rental car about 30 kilometers up a small highway through the jungle to Sayulita. This is a cool small tourist/surfing town home to many restaurants, bars and young hip residents walking the streets.

The Beach Just In Front of The Marina

Tony and I headed for the beach looking across Banderas Bay after lunch where I took a conference call – just to make myself think I was really doing something.

This evenings activity will include grilling a Tri-Tip on the upper boat deck served with a good bottle of red wine, and perhaps some Black River Caviar

Until Tomorrow…
